Tournament Jobs
Hi, Smokettes! Here is a sign up sheet for the tournament jobs. Lounge volunteers sit at the table and 1) sell raffle, 50/50 and beer tickets, 2) collect outstanding tournament fees and hand out team packages (this is usually/hopefully wrapped up Friday evening!) and take post game beer tickets to the teams in their dressing rooms. I know we don't know what games we are playing yet but have a look at the other times and let me know what you can do. We'll fill those blanks in later.
Thanks!!

Smokette's Tournament 2016
Happy New Year Smokettes!
Now that we have successfully made it to 2016, and the holiday rush has subsided, it is time to start planning for the 2016 Rossland Round Up tournament. Our tournament is fully subscribed with 4 Open Men's teams, 4 Over 45 Men's Teams and 4 Women's teams. The money we raise at the tournament allows us to support local charities such as the food bank, the firemen's christmas hamper, the Michael Hinde Memorial fund, the Rotary Interact youth group, previous and current Smokette members with extenuating medical expenses, and our own scholarship.
We need some Smokette's to step forward and help us organize the tournament. We have a strong, solid core of experienced coordinators, but we would like to include more individuals to help lighten the load for all. Some of the tasks that require coordination are:
Food and Beverage - that's dinner and drinks.
Lounge activities - staffing and organizing 50/50 draws, drink ticket sales, door prize and raffle ticket sales.
Smokette Roster and payment - organizing the Smokettes for our game times and collecting tournament fees ( $15 per game)
Officials - allocating officials for our games ( I have a list of local officials )
Set up and Tear down at the arena- Friday afternoon and Sunday
Door prize organization- collecting and bundling
Corporate Donation and recognition program
All the coordinators work together, so even if it is your first time helping out, you will have lots of people to assist you if you require it. I would like to have a meeting to discuss the tournament and get things rolling on Wednesday, January the 6th at the Tunnel Pub at 7:30 pm. If you are interested in helping with the tournament, but cannot make that meeting, please let me know.
Thanks, looking forward to another amazing tournament!
